Permitting Resources

A collection of IFP’s reports on BAAJA and related permitting topics.

BAAJA

On September 30, 2026, a bipartisan group of senators released the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act (BAAJA), a comprehensive bill to reform federal permitting and electrical transmission policy. The bill is the culmination of years of bipartisan effort and includes targeted solutions to permitting challenges across several domains. If enacted, the bill would be the most ambitious effort to streamline infrastructure permitting in modern American history.
