Tao Burga is a Technology Fellow at IFP, where he focuses on AI policy, export controls, and accelerating innovation in AI security.

Tao previously worked on compute governance as a Fellow at the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy, forecasting the societal impacts of advanced AI as a Junior Research Scientist at New York University, and human-robot interaction as a Research Assistant at Brown University’s Sloman Lab.

Tao holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Behavioral Decision Sciences with National Security and Data specializations from Brown.
