Jay Kim is an Associate Fellow at IFP, where he works on The Launch Sequence, finding and scoping concrete projects to prepare the world for advanced AI.

Before joining IFP, Jay researched AI policy with the Center for a New American Security and the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy, studied frontier AI lab security at the University of Chicago's XLab, and managed production of the Introduction to AI Safety, Ethics, and Society textbook (Taylor & Francis) at the Center for AI Safety.

Jay holds a BA in Computer Science from Williams College.
