Anastasia Lambrou is a Senior Biotechnology Fellow at the Institute for Progress, and she is currently serving as the Chem-Bio Lead at NIST’s Center for AI Standards and Innovation.

Previously, she worked as a Scientist and Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Anastasia also served as a Senior Policy Advisor for Pandemic Prevention at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service. She has held scientific and policy roles at other organizations including the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense.

Anastasia earned her PhD from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Masters of Science from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Bachelors of Science from Duke University.
